Single extrusion is the process of inputting one material compound into profile or part. The process of single extrusion is the most common and widely used, as  profiles are designed using a single thermoplastic material cut to different lengths.


With the co-extrusion process, Profile Xtrusions is able to construct a part with two dissimilar materials, while still maintaining the physical properties of each. This extrusion process works effectively through the combination a rigid material, for strength, and a soft or flexible material, for function, into various uniform profiles.


Tri-extrusion is the process of extruding two or more materials through a single die with two or more cavities arranged so that the extrudates merge together into a laminar structure. Each material (same or different) is fed from a separate extruder, but the orifices may be arranged so that each extruder supplies two or more plastic compound.

In-house Tooling

Not only do we outsource tooling as needed, we also have full-time engineering, design, tooling and fabrication experts on staff to construct tooling in-house.  This give us the best of both worlds in that we can leverage outside resources to increase capacity, and/or tool-up in house, which allows cost savings for our customers.
